Description
Dietary supplement KalMag is a bioavailable source of calcium and magnesium.
БBiologically active food additive "KALMAG" was developed by order of the ALIGI Sports Nutrition Center.
Beneficial features
- Prevents bones calcium depletion.
- Restores the normal structure of the bones and cartilaginous tissue of the body.
- Prevents the appearance of osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.
- Effectively regulates acid-base balance.
Ingredients: Each 5 g serving contains 385 mg of easy-to-absorb calcium and 180 mg of magnesium.
Ingredient composition: calcium gluconate, magnesium carbonate, citric acid.
The product contains:

Directions for use: Take daily. 1 serving - 5 g (1 teaspoon). Dissolve in 100 ml of boiling water and stir thoroughly until completely dissolved. Dilute with water, juice or green tea. Being dissolved in water, calcium becomes ionic and is easily absorbed by the cells of the body.
After preparation of the product, as a result of the reaction, a clear solution of a mixture of magnesium citrate and calcium citrate is obtained.
Contraindications: individual intolerance to the components.
Storage: in a cool, dry, dark place at a room temperature. Shelf life is 2 years.
Additional Information
It is difficult to overestimate the role of calcium in the activity of human body. Among the metal elements, calcium is the main one, not only quantitatively, but also functionally. Its main place of accumulation is the skeletal system. Calcium performs many functions in the body:
- Calcium is very important for the formation of strong bones and teeth.
- To maintain the rhythm of the heart and transmit nerve impulses.
- Essential for muscle growth and contraction.
- To prevent muscle cramps.
- Promotes blood clotting.
- May lower high blood pressure.
- To prevent the development of osteoporosis.
- Provides energy and takes part in the construction of DNA and RNA molecules.
- Taken at night, it reduces snoring.
Calcium is an important element of the body's buffer system, which maintains the pH at the necessary for each system and environment of the body level. Blood pH is one of the most rigid physiological constants of the body. Normally, this indicator can vary within 7.4 (+0.02). A shift in this indicator by at least 0.1 can lead to severe pathology. When the pH of the blood shifts by 0.2, a coma develops, and one dies by 0.3.
It is not enough to eat food rich of calcium, it needs to be absorbed, for what it is necessary to convert calcium into an ionic form. This occurs in the stomach as a result of exposure to hydrochloric acid, with a decrease in the production of which calcium absorption is impaired.
With age, calcium deficiency develops in the body: by the age of 40 it is observed of 50% of people, by the age of 60 - in 90%, which is occurred by fatigue, early aging, decreased concentration of attention, cramps of the calf muscles, diseases of the cardiovascular system, respiratory organs. Constant "leaching" of calcium from the bones leads to the development of osteoporosis. It occurs itself as bone pain, impaired motor activity and can lead to disability. Calcium deficiency can cause over 100 different diseases.
It should also be borne in mind that in the following cases, calcium is excessively excreted from the body:
- intensive physical work,
- enhanced training of athletes,
- long-term immobilization,
- movement limit.
Magnesium is very important for the functioning of various enzymes. It promotes the absorption of calcium and potassium. Magnesium deficiency affects the transmission of nerve and muscle impulses, causing irritability and nervousness. Helps to maintain normal pH. Protects the walls of blood vessels from overload. It plays an important role in bone formation and mineral metabolism.
