The story of hemp oil origin
At all tames, hemp oil has been produced in Ancient Russia. Since the time of the Scythian tribes, no later than the 5th century AD, it has been widely used in cooking. The oil is famous for its nourishing and healing properties.
The most valuable property of this oil is the balanced content of Omega-3 and Omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids.
Hemp oil is a dark green vegetable oil with a slight pleasant smell with hints of sourness, obtained by cold pressing way.
Oil is used in food as a seasoning for a wide variety of dishes on ordinary and fast days.
It was believed that whoever tasted hemp oil had nothing to do with meat.
The beneficial properties of hemp oil
Vitaprom hemp oil is obtained from the seeds of the cultured Cannabis sativa by the method of cold pressing. Hemp seed oil was widely used for food of old days in different countries. Cultured hemp in European countries was one of the main cultivated plants, along with wheat. However, later hemp oil was replaced by sunflower oil, since it was easier to produce.
And now this wonderful oil is returning. It is the only natural oil with an ideal balance of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids - 3:1. But it's not just fatty acids that make hemp oil a fantastically rich and valuable food. Just a few days ago, an article by Italian scientists appeared in the scientific literature. It expands in details how very active antioxidants are found in cold-pressed hemp oil. This is a large group of flavonoid substances that plant cells of seeds of sowing hemp produce a lot, and after pressing it goes to the oil from the seeds. These substances are called flavanones, flavonols, flavanols, and isoflavones. This, of course, is not necessary to know, the main thing is that these substances preserve our youth and good looking, and protect against diseases.
And even that's not all! In the last year, an amazing molecule is of great interest to scientists, which is contained in cultured hemp seeds - cannabidiol. Its properties to kill cancer cells and treat epilepsy have already been confirmed. And recently in the scientific magazine “Molecular and Cell Biochemistry” an article, describing the amazing property of cannabidiol to inhibit the growth of human fat cells - white fat, has been published. Under the effect of cannabidiol white fat cells turn into brown fat - amazing tissue of human body, which contains a large number of mitochondria. This is not the fat that everyone knows, but special cells that generate heat and speed up metabolism, contributing to weight loss. Here is what the scientists conclude: “... Cannabidiol may prove to be a promising remedy for the prevention of obesity”.
But we will not wait for pharmacy companies to release an expensive new weight loss drug for us. Better we will use hemp oil for food - a natural product with fantastic properties.
